This year, don’t miss out on a local tradition—downtown Fuquay-Varina’s Candy Hop. On Saturday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the merchants on and around historic Main and Broad Streets will help bring in Easter by hosting this fun, free, family event. Just like previous years, children should come prepared with a basket and get ready to hop, hop, hop from shop to shop.

You’re certain to find candy, goodies and a whole lot more by visiting shops displaying “Candy Hop Here!” posters, but be sure to show your appreciation by saying “I Love Downtown” at each stop.

Families also should pack their cameras; don’t miss the opportunity to snap a picture with the Easter Bunny or Easter Chicken. Before making way to the Candy Hop, be sure to check out the Town of Fuquay-Varina’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, located at South Park from 10 to 11 a.m. For more information, go to www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com.
