Volunteer John Mitchell from Apex, N.C. shows off his paint covered hands during the Wake County Signature project Jan. 18, at the Wake County Boys and Girls Club locations on Raleigh Blvd. Volunteers cleaned and repainted the Boys Gymnasium. Cleaning out and reorganizing the Boys Club Equipment shed, the volunteers also painted a mural to hang outside the Boys club. There were also volunteers at the Girls Club, just a block away stuffing bags of food for the "backpack buddies program," and sorting donated children’s books from a book drive that recently concluded.
