One Heart Yoga’s Mira will be hosting a healing foods workshop Saturday, July 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. She will be drawing from her training in live foods, herbalism and yogic diet to bring you the most up-to-date information about your health and how you can make informed choices to attain optimal wellness in the body. Come ready to taste delicious herbal infused treats and go home with the information you need to make a real change. Mira will provide recipes for what the class tastes.

Topics will include: increasing energy naturally, improving digestion, detoxification for weight-loss and increased absorption of nutrients, enzymes and probiotics (What are they and how do they affect our health?), alkalinizing the body, winning the battle over the mind to make good food choices and simple ways to stay vibrant and healthy.

The cost for the workshop will be $15 per person or $25 per couple. A scholarship is available upon request.

Mira studied and became a certified teacher of yoga and yogic diet through Integral Yoga. She studied with the president of the Integral Yoga in New York at a teacher training in Laguna Bacalar, Mexico. Mira is a certified live foods chef through the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Ariz. She also apprenticed at their healing center for three months. She is a certified herbalist through the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine in Leicester, N.C., and currently continues herbal/wild foods study and apprenticeship under Kim Calhoun of AbunDance Healing Arts in Pittsboro, N.C.

One Heart Yoga is located at 213 Fayetteville St. Suite 2B in Fuquay-Varina.
