All Wake County Public School System schools will close three hours early tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 25, due to the threat of inclement weather.

All athletic and extracurricular events scheduled for Friday also are canceled. SAT exams scheduled for Saturday at several WCPSS high schools have been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16.

During Friday’s early dismissal, WCPSS buses will provide transportation home for students who ride by bus and parents will be able to pick up their children for rides home as they usually do. School staff members will stay with students at schools until arrangements have been made for each child to get home safely.

WCPSS will continue monitoring weather conditions and update information as needed. This information has been shared with local media, and posted on the district website, social media and distributed to our weather notification email subscriber base.
