Doggie Village’s Second Annual Valentine Rescue Event will be held Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 250 Premier Drive in Holly Springs. There will be several dog rescue groups with adoptable dogs and information about thier organizations, as well as a low cost rabies clinic and plenty of treats, leashes and other fun dog products for special furry friends. Doggie Village offers boarding, doggie daycare and grooming and recently has taken on a new endeavor to find homes for dogs that otherwise would have no future. Happy is a female Beagle mix, about 2 years old. She was adopted from Harnett County Animal Control. Because of pet overpopulations, some animals have their lives cut short.
