Kathryn Pate Broadwell, 58, of Fuquay-Varina died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County in Raleigh. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Lois Wilson Pate. She graduated from Lillington High School and continued her studies at Peace College and N.C. State where she received degrees in Business and Zoology. After graduation, Kathryn worked at First Citizens Bank in Raleigh for more than 35 years.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at O’Quinn Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607

Surviving Ms. Broadwell are her daughter, Virginia Kathryn “Katie” Broadwell of Fuquay-Varina; son, Jarratt Thomas Broadwell of Fuquay-Varina; and brother, Jim Pate of Fayetteville.
