After the well has been drilled, the Africans clean out the pipes by blowing air down the pipe from a large compressor on the back of a truck. This blows water high into the sky.

In Africa this month, Cornerstone Family Church of Fuquay-Varina, together with Love Abounds drilled drinking wells in Zambia, Africa.

According to the World Health Organization, More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation and hygiene-related causes. Nearly all deaths, 99 percent, occur in the developing world.

Pastor and evangelist Jonathan Morgan of Cornerstone Family Church has traveled all over the world preaching the Word of God to nations such as Ghana, Nigeria, India, Dubai, Pakistan, Costa Rica, Philippines and Sri Lanka.

“As we have ministered, we have seen a great need for humanitarian aid essentially drinking wells, medicinal and orphanages, so Love Abounds was birthed,” says Jonathan Morgan.

Love Abounds headed by Bethany Morgan is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of bringing relief to communities around the world who suffer needlessly from the lack of access to clean water, proper sanitation, and medicine.

“In the States, it is hard to imagine life without fresh water at our fingertips,” says Bethany

Morgan. “The reality for Sub-Sahara Africans is to walk miles and wait hours for clean water, taking away valuable time at work or in schools. This well will provide generational change in this village, affecting their health, education, work production and more.”

In addition to clean drinking water, hundreds of Africans came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and a church was planted.

Pastor Jonathan and Sherry Morgan together with their three children; David and daughter-in-law Bethany, Savannah and Isaac have served the community and Lord as pastor, evangelist and missionary for the past 26 years. They are the founders of Cornerstone Family Church, 917 Durham St., meeting on Sundays at 9 and 11 a.m.

They also are the founders of Frontline World Ministries, which is “Reaching the Unreached.” The vision of the church as well as the ministry is to go where the gospel has not been preached and share the message of Jesus Christ.
