Mrs. Mary Mitchell Ennis, 94 of Buies Creek died at her home on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Ennis; two brothers, James R. Mitchell and Rev. C. Maness Mitchell. Mrs. Ennis retired from Campbell University where she worked in the Food Service Department and was a member of Coats United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Coats United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Methodist Church Cemetery, Buies Creek. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at O’Quinn Peebles Funeral Home, other times at her home.

She is survived by daughter, Lillian Silverthorne; sons, Harry Ennis and wife Barbara; Alex Ennis, Robert Ennis and wife Paula, all of Buies Creek; Tim Ennis and wife Kelly of Angier; eight grandchildren, Deirdre MacArthur, Steven Ennis, Adrien Ennis, Allen Ennis, Geoffrey Ennis, Connor Ennis, Brittany Ennis and Jacob Ennis; five great-grandchildren.
