Willow Springs - Mr. Johnny Butler Blackman, 44, Willow Springs, died on Monday, July 16, 2012 from an accident.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Raleigh with Pastor David Frye officiating.

Mr. Blackman was a loving husband and father. He served on the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for nearly 20 years and was employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections for 2 years. He and his family attended Calvary Baptist Church in Raleigh.

Mr. Blackman is survived by his wife, Leigh O. Blackman, of the home; children, Andrew C. Blackman, Ian C. Horne, Dalton Horne, Isabella Horne, Graylon N. Blackman of Asheville; his parents, Ciana D. Butler and Jimmie B. Blackman, both of Garland.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 7900 Ten-Ten Rd., Raleigh.
