James Franklin Raynor, 65, of Linden passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center. He was born in Cumberland County, the son of the late William Franklin and Emma Catherine Raynor.
James joined the Army in 1964, serving in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Raynor retired from Black and Decker as a tool maker. He took pride in being a member of the Sons of Confederates and was also an active church and choir member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Funeral service was at noon Thursday, Aug. 2, at O’Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Pabon officiating. Burial followed in Collier Chapel Church Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday.
He is survived by sisters, Catherin Wuornos of Coats and Linda Morris and husband Charles of Linden.
