Raleigh - Mamie Moore Phelps, 83, died Thursday, September 13, 2012. Funeral services were held on Monday, September 17, at 11 a.m. at Church Alive, 4309 Umstead Dr., Fuquay-Varina. Interment followed in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick D. Phelps; son, Don Phelps of Cary; daughters, Brenda Brooks of Cleveland, S.C., and Lana Sorrell and husband, Mark of Willow Spring; sister, Beverly Rhodes of Owensboro, KY; three grandchildren, John Brooks and wife, Naz, Jaime Rosegern and husband, Rob and Trae Edwards; and one great-grand child, Ryyan Brooks.
The family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 16 at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N Ennis St., Fuquay-Varina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607.
