Ernestine Holleman McLaurin, 79, died Thursday, November 15, 2012. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 18 at 3 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church, located at 3217 Piney Grove-Wilbon Road in Fuquay-Varina. The family received friends from 2 to 3 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Lacy McLaurin; and two brothers, Earl and Eugene Holleman.
Mrs. McLaurin was born in Wake county to the late Freeman and Tessie Holleman on August 29, 1933. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her son, Ronald McLaurin and wife, Pam of Willow Spring; daughter, Regina DeMark and husband, Dean of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Melissa Mangum and husband, Michael of Willow Spring, Christopher McLaurin of Garner, and Madison and Morgan DeMark of Fayetteville; and great-grandchildren, Mason Mangum and Kayden McLaurin.
