Leonidas Charles (L.C.) Patterson, Jr., 77, of Broadway died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. He was born in Harnett County to the late Leonidas Charles (Lonnie), Sr. and Carrie Butler Patterson. L.C. was a retired mechanic and farmer and served his country in U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brothers, Roderick (Ock), Duncan, John Dacosta (J.D.), Archie and Foster; and sister, Lena M. Hughes.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. December 27 at Leaflet Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Thomas Spence officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
He is survived by brothers, Clyde and friend, Christine Jones, of Broadway; Nash and wife, Marie, of Linden; Dougald and wife, Wallace Ann, of Reidsville; Parker and wife, Mildred, of Greensboro; sisters, Jennie Holland and husband, Johnny, of Lillington; Margaret Butler and husband, Charlie, of Broadway; 21 nieces and nephews; 31 great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
The family received friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
