Mr. James Lewis Gregory, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A graveside funeral was held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier. Rev. Jeff Jones officiated.
Mr. Gregory was born Sept. 2, 1931 in Harnett County to the late James Benton and Myrtle Johnson Gregory. He was a farmer and a welder.
Surviving Mr. Gregory are his wife of 64 years, Mildred Denton Gregory; sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Virginia Gregory of Clayton and Keith and Brenda Gregory of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Mae Denton of Willow Spring; grandchildren, Mike Gregory, Holly Lockamy and Morgan Gregory and great granddaughter, Reagan Lockamy.
The family received friends at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 prior to the service.
